A Legacy Built
By Family

Georges Upholstery was founded by Paul and Barbara George in San Diego, California in the early 1980s. The family later moved to Bishop, California before settling in Kingman, Arizona — bringing their craft with them every step of the way.

Paul and Barbara's daughter Penny married Rick Niemeyer, who purchased the business in the early 2000s and expanded it into the full upholstery and autobody shop it is today. Their daughter Sam grew up learning the trade from her father.

After Paul passed in 2017 and Rick in 2021, Sam inherited the business. When she needed time to grieve, her now-husband stepped in — teaching himself to pattern, sew, sand, and paint — working nights and weekends to keep the shop running and the legacy alive.

Today, Sam and her husband work side by side, carrying forward four decades of family craftsmanship right here in Kingman, Arizona.
